Red Bull Kite The Waj 2015

Red Bull Kite the Waj came back to the island for the second time, Kite the Waj is an amateur kitesurfing competition held at the Amwaj Islands, where amateur teams from around the GCC can come and compete for the top spot. This year, local kitesurfers Jeremy and Algo handed the rest of the teams the defeat as they were announced winners on the third day of the event. Coming in at second were Rashed & Rashed from Dubai and in third place were Bahraini kiters Mohanna and Mohammed Housni.

Also on the island was world class pro kitesurfer Ruben Lenten who's judged this competition twice in a row along with nineteen-year old Karim Shawky from Egypt who had judged his first competition at Kite The Waj. The two judges chilled with the kitesurfers and spectators during the three-day event, sharing the waters with kitesurfers present on the days.
