What you missed - (pt. 2) Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Bahrain 2015

Hey Guys!
here's another post from what I've been doing since the start of the year. This one's really recent, you guys may or may not have heard about it, there was a huge buzz about it all over the island. I'm talking about the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams.

The Red Bull X-Fighters is the biggest and most challenging freestyle motocross competition in the world, they came up with a motocross show that would show the people who haven't yet had the experience of attending an X-Fighters event what it's all about, This show is called the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams which took place on the 3rd and 4th of April 2015 in Amwaj Islands. The event was originally supposed to be on the 2nd and 3rd of April but it got pushed a day forward as a result of a sandstorm a night before.

The 4 riders who participated in the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Bahrain 2015 were:

Martin Koren:
Martin Koren in Bahrain
Hailing from Czech Republic, Martin Koren has competed in many big competitions in the world, his performance in the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Bahrain was amazing. Martin also holds the World record in performing a back flip at the highest altitude in the world (3600m high in La Paz, Bolivia). And another World record with popular motocross stunt show Nitro Circus in the most riders performing a back flip in one time.
I think you guys can already guess what his favourite trick is.

Chris Brock:
Chris Brock in Bahrain
Chris Brock AKA. Britain's no.1 FMX rider has competed in many FMX competitions in Britain and a number of places in Europe like the FIM IFMXF World Championships, IFMA series, Nitro Circus Live Europe and the Red Bull X-Fighters. Although he laid back on the tricks because he didn't have full riding gear as a result of lost baggage while travelling to Bahrain, he was still impressive during both days of the show.

Nick de Wit:
Nick de Wit in Bahrain
Nick de Wit is one of the first pro FMX riders out of Africa, he is one of the first South African rider to perform a back flip. Nick has appeared many times in Red Bull X-Fighters competitions across the globe. He is the only Red Bull sponsored athlete out of the four riders participating in the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Bahrain 2015.

Steve Sommerfeld:
Steve Sommerfeld in Bahrain
Aussie man Steve Sommerfeld is a man of many talents including motocross journalism, FMX rider & FMX commentator. He's competed in almost every Australian FMX Championship there was. Unfortunately the FMX rider part of Steve was no where to be seen during the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Bahrain, He is the second rider out of the four with a missing baggage incident, this time with Turkish Airlines, unlike Chris Brock who borrowed gear from a local FMX rider, Steve couldn't find the required gear in time; But we didn't let him watch from the sidelines, Steve has experience in FMX commentary so they handed him the mic and oh boy was he good at running the show; He got the crowd pumping in no time.

Nevertheless, The event was a huge success! Again, I'll be saying this a lot; It's been a privilege working with the Red Bull Bahrain team, I've had the best time with them in their events.

What you missed - (pt.1) Malja

So as my first post in a while, I will be showing you and telling you about how my 2015 so far because without a doubt it was a blast and I'm really sad I didn't post about it on my blog. but better late than never, right?

Chapter 1: Malja Bahrain
Now if you know me well enough, you know that I'm at Malja most of the time. What is Malja? Malja is a local art space in Bahrain where almost every art can be practised, it officially opened on 30th of January 2015 & it was a roller coaster ride getting the art space ready but the amazing Red bull Bahrain team managed to get it up and running on time. I was privileged to be a part of Malja from the final building stages up to now, It's been a really good experience for me (I'll be saying this a lot in future posts) & expect more stuff on my blog from Malja.
Malja has a main Art gallery space where artists can showcase their masterpieces. There is a multi-purpose dance room which can be used by dancers to master their movement and by other artists to give workshops and teach their art to the participants. Finally Malja also has a QTF (Quarter-tone frequency) Sound Space which can be used by artists to record and/or practice their field of art. The Sound space is filled with almost every equipment required to record and produce music AND what is art without food!? Malja has it's own refuelling station to get snacks and drinks that will keep you going while you're there! Any artist is welcome to show up and practise their art.
